Double pitch conveyor chains look similar to standard roller chains, but their pitch is twice that of ordinary drive chains. The A-series straight side plate type is one of the most common choices for light and medium conveying systems.

Unlike transmission chains built mainly for power transfer, these chains focus on carrying materials. The straight side plates create a flat surface, so slats, carriers or other attachments can be mounted easily. That is why factories often pick them for continuous material transport instead of speed transmission.

Common models in this group include C2040, C2050, C2060 and C2080, paired with their big roller versions C2042, C2052, C2062, C2082. The small roller variant runs on standard sprockets, while the large roller design rolls directly along guide rails, lowering friction on long conveyor routes.

Material selection makes a big difference in service life. 40Mn and 45Mn carbon steel work for general environments such as grain mills, rubber processing and automotive assembly lines. 40Cr offers better wear resistance under heavier loads. SS304 stainless steel is reserved for food, beverage and chemical lines where rust and contamination must be avoided.

When selecting, buyers need to check working load, conveying distance, roller style and operating temperature. If standard chain sizes cannot match the machine frame, custom attachments, pin lengths or plate shapes can be produced according to drawings.
